Tree Amigos of America is a Cartersville, Georgia. based business. Owner Shane Barker and his wife Grace, started the family business in January 2018 after they and their three children moved to Cartersville in 2016. Why Cartersville? Let Shane tell the story.
“I was driving to Florida from rural Indiana for a job interview and stopped in Carterville to take a break. Just driving around the area ‘blew my mind.’ I realized this is where I’d like to live. I called my wife and 10 days later we were moving to Cartersville. I’ve never looked back.”
Both Shane and his brother, who owns a tree service company in north Florida, have worked around trees since they were teenagers. The idea to start Tree Amigos came after helping his brother and realizing how much he enjoyed the work.
Active in community affairs, Tree Amigos sponsors the Backpack Buddies 5K race every Fall and the Recovery Bartow 5K race in January.
Including his son Thomas, Tree Amigos currently has four full-time team members and one part-time member who is the Georgia State tree-climbing champion.
We’re large enough to get the job done, yet small enough to provide hands-on ‘white glove service’ to our clients.
Tree Amigos is a full-service, residential and commercial tree company. Our work covers everything from stump grinding to trimming oaks and pine trees to extreme, high-risk tree removals. We are available 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days-a-year. The company is fully licensed and insured. We’ll work with you to guide you through all of your tree removal service needs. Our team members will even take photos of the surrounding area from the top of the tree we’re about to take down if you’d like them for future reference.

We care about the details. From start to finish we will communicate with you and construct a work plan that meets your needs and suits your schedule. No detail is too small for us to worry about. We protect your landscaping. We think about where we’re working and protect water, sewer, gas and irrigation lines, and septic tanks from being damaged.
We use electric chain saws on the job because they’re quieter than the gas-powered models. We’ve even had one client thank us for not waking her sleeping children while cutting trees in her yard. When needed, we bring a special low-weight, SD64 4x4x4 work platform. This four-wheel drive vehicle with extra-large tires lets us reach incredible heights while protecting your grass.
We are serious about safety. Our team members always wear hard hats. And when appropriate we’re wearing chaps, safety glasses, as well as a safety harnesses when operating our 70-foot lift, or climbing a tree.
